Way West water taxi, based in Campbell River connects the Northern end of Vancouver Island, British Columbia with many remote island and coastline destinations. Way West Water Taxi offers transportation services to many diverse industries including tourism, forestry and aquaculture. One of our specialties is our kayak shuttle service, transporting sea kayakers to and from their remote Discovery Islands or British Columbia's West Coast sea kayaking destinations. We offer year round scheduled water taxi service to: Dent Island, Read Island, Stuart Island, Maurelle Island, Fredirick Arm as well as East and West Thurlow Islands. Check out our water taxi schedule for rates and departures.

Nauti Cat
The 12 passenger "Nauti Cat" is a 31' welded aluminum catamaran which offers an unbelievably smooth ride and excellent cargo capacity. It is equipped with twin Volvo D6 310 's which provide the water taxi with a cruise speed of 30 knots. The Nauti Cat is a serious workhorse: we rely on it for heavy duty service with style!

Island Fury
Island Fury is a sister ship to the NautiCat, however her power/drive system is unique. Island Fury is a 12 passenger water taxi and is powered with twin Yanmar 6LY3 STP engines producing 440hp each with Seafury SF 26 surface drives.

Way West 1
The 8 passenger "Way West 1" is a 27' welded aluminum conventional hull water taxi powered by a Volvo D6 370 diesel engine, providing a 30 knot cruise and a great ride!
2000 lb payload - Excellent for smaller groups  

Quik Silver
The 12 passenger "Quik Silver" is a 32' welded aluminum conventional hull powered by twin Volvo D4 260's providing it with a 30 knot cruise speed.
4000 lb payload - large under deck cold storage - Marine head (toilet) - 16 passenger liferaft

Island Wild
This 8 passenger vessel is a 28.5' welded aluminum conventional hull powered by a single Volvo D6 350 and cruises at 27 knots with an overall payload of 2000lbs.
