In 1996, Way West Water Taxi was born. Recently acquired by the Homalco First Nation, we continue the legacy of safe and reliable travel with the same great skippers and service that our valued customers have come to expect. Based out of beautiful Campbell River on Northern Vancouver Island, British Columbia, we continue to grow and proud to have logged well over 100,000 hours of safe transportation and reliable service. We continue to learn from our customers and have added and adapted routes, hours of operation and product offerings as needed so we can ensure we are meeting the needs of the many diverse customers and industries we serve. We are proud to be the supplier of choice for many small remote communities, industry and hospitality partners and people visiting the area that rely on the efficient and reliable flow of goods and services.
Our scheduled marine transportation service connects Campbell River and North Central Vancouver Island to areas such as Stuart Island, Dent Island, East and West Thurlow Islands and Sonora Island and many more. These islands are host to many world-renowned fishing and wildlife viewing lodges that are well known for excellent salmon fishing, first class resorts and service together with the chance to see a wide range of wildlife in some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world.

It is our goal to provide every customer with the safest and most memorable experience we can. We want your trip with us to be effortless and enjoyable. Our staff are on hand to help you book your next charter, scheduled freight or passenger service or customize a trip for you and assist with all your inquiries. We also now offer a courtesy shuttle so we can offer pickup from hotels/ airport or parking facilities at established pickup locations.
